This is basically what I sent in my email to the State Rep next to me.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

My name is Jeff Dow. I live Tampa but my State Rep is a Democrat so I am reaching out to you. I know that you work at the state level, but you represent the Hillsborough county area. I wanted to know who I needed to get in touch with about joining the county at the Precinct level. I know we want more voices like ours in the county to find candidates aligned with our values. Please point me in the right direction of who can help me in that process.

Again, I know this isn't your role, but I thank you for helping me in this process.

Give it a few days, if you hear nothing, try again. I would also find another Rep in the area to see if they can help instead. I would also consider emailing me to join the Discord channel. It's possible we might already have a network in your area building and someone can reach out to your county.
